It was a peaceful day, one where Natalie didn't worry about her father, and how he was managing without his daughter to take care of him. She was just another student at Hogwarts. Some might call that a tragedy, but Natalie called it peace. She enjoyed being alone, because when she was alone, she could be herself. Now, she sat on the grass, that was dampened from the rain that had fallen just a few moments ago. Natalie was soaked. She never ran from the rain, rain never hurt anyone. Well... not a person, outfits? Well they could always be replaced. However the rain had stopped, now Natalie's usual smiling face had twisted into a pout. Even the expression felt foreign and unknown to her. She'd never really 'pouted' before. Mostly because she was usually too bubbly and such to do so. However, today, for some reason she was the complete opposite. Sometimes she wished she had a close friend that would do something completely bonkers for her. Like, throw her in the lake. She didn't want to get in the water herself, but she really wanted to go swimming. However, she had no friends that were willing to throw her in a lake full of mer-people and Merlin knows what else.
Sighing, she stood up and walked towards the lake. Something about doing it yourself... it was creepy, at least if she was thrown in, she couldn't say 'Well I fancied a swim with dangerous creatures', which if she did say it, she'd be telling the entire truth. But to anyone else, she'd appear completely 'round the bend. A place she didn't feel like being. Though most already thought Natalie was insane, because sometimes she'd randomly burst into laughter. It was even worse when she was in the middle of people who were having a heart-to-heart. But it wasn't her fault! Her mind ran a mile or two a minute. So while others were talking about the latest break up, Natalie would be thinking about how the guy on the left of the girl who was crying her eyes out had very bushy eyebrows. Or something similar. Her mind was a place nobody wanted to venture. Which was why she never pushed her father to learn Occlumency, because only a real fool would dare to enter Natalie Amelia Royce's mind. Well, a fool who probably would need a nap and then therapy afterwards.[/QUOTE][/ul]
